Welcome to Hattie's!                                          Where creativity thrives.

We will be closed from January to February... re-opening in March. This will provide us time to rest, be even more creative, re-stock, and re-arrange. See you in March.
Of course, we can be open by appointment ~ please call ahead!

Welcome to Hattie's Country Store.
The most unique art gallery and studio in the area. Hattie's is situated in Foster, Rhode Island ~ the north-west corner of Rhode Island, known as "the quiet corner". Foster has become an artist's delight and is populated with many talented artists and craftspeople. Foster is also speckled with farms and lush woods.

Hattie's Country Store is filled with a wide variety of fine art, hand-made crafts, fiber arts, fine wood crafts, and seasonal edibles all created by two artisans. We are passionate about the earth, sustainability, organic products, recycling materials, using products that appeal to the five senses, are good for you, feel good and smell delightful. We often use resources from the 8 acres of property surrounding the shop , twigs, moss and even grown herbs.  We often set up our studio space on the front porch, painting, drawing, sanding, or weaving. We are inspired by nature around us, so creating outside is a wonderful "movable studio space". Every time you visit, you will find new surprises. So visit often!

    Two Artists ~ One Shop

Sherri Snyder, the primary artist, has been painting and exhibiting her watercolors throughout New England for over 26 years. She was accepted into the Rhode Island Watercolor Society in 2008, is an artist member of the Attleboro Art Museum and received second place in 2009 at the Rhode Island Flower Show. Her artistic creations extend beyond the watercolor paper into a variety of media including hand-painted gourds, fiber arts, hand made paper, collage work and polymer clay.

The second artisan, Margie, specializes in woodwork and actually built Hattie's Country Store from the ground up. She also creates exquisite wood utensils, garden shed outhouses, children's wooden toys, soy candles, aromatic room sprays, in addition to some very colorful crafts.
