Welcome to Hattie's Country Store
Hattie is such a wonderfully old-fashioned name. We wanted to create an old-fashioned country store where everything is hand-crafted, made from the earth, created from the heart, and the scent of fresh baked banana bread lingers in the store.
When you enter Hattie's Country Store, be prepared for a playful surprise. Rather than a formal gallery setting, we offer a relaxed and rustic space. Our artwork and fine crafts are whimsical, colorful, exquisitely constructed, and appeal to all five senses. Our work is also unique and not available in any other shop. We hear all the time, "You made this?" Yes, we really did!
Hattie's offers a wide variety of fine crafts and arts from original watercolor paintings, to hand painted gourds, hand-made paper, woven rugs, stained glass creations, photography, carved wooden utensils, room sprays and hand creams. Every item has been created in our studios. We are inspired by nature... one creative explosion leads to another. Each time you visit, there will be something new to spark your senses.
Hattie's is nestled in rural Foster, Rhode Island on eight acres of greenery. Foster, the north-west corner of Rhode Island, is a quaint area that has attracted many talented artists and artisans over the years. In fact, less than a mile down the road is the famous "Freestone Pottery". And why not make a day of it! Check out the fosteringArts website for the Artists Open Studios or theatre productions. Or you might also want to visit local farms where you can cuddle llamas (Dandy Acres Llamas) or ride horses (Red Rock Farm or Journey's End Farm) or pet goats (Glocester Goats and Greens).

Hattie's is easily accessible. We are 30 minutes from Providence,
30 minutes from Worcester, and 6 miles from the Connecticut border.
